We cordially invite you to a heartwarming evening of carols, songs, and wintery tales.
This programme takes the form of a winter journey. Snow is the ever present theme and, even though it comes so seldom to West Cork, we can take delight in its gifts, challenges, magic and mysteries. I was inspired to put this programme together after visiting Norway one February, where they put on a festival of Ice Music to raise awareness of the growing fragility of our polar regions. The coming of winter snow is seen as a blessing there.
We are offering a variety of music ranging through; ancient styles, the romanticism of Elgar and on to Disney, Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo and Irving Berlin. Words spring from Ibsen and Shakespeare, Longfellow and Christian Rossetti. We are joined by young performers and guest soloists and local musicians. There will also be participatory carols, mulled wine and more.
If you would like us to reserve you a ticket please send us a message giving your name, venue and date along with the number of tickets you would like us to hold for you. Contact the choir
