St Barrahane’s July 2012

The choir,  superbly augmented by Emma Nash (soprano), Ilse De Ziah (cello) and Katy Salvidge (recorder), performed Rutter’s Requiem  to a capacity audience at the 32nd Festival of Music in St. Barrahane’s Church, Castletownshend on 19 July 2012.  In addition, the choir sang three delightful choral pieces: Happy We from Acis and Galatea by Handel, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine and Mozart’s Ave Verum to a very appreciative audience. The poignant O My Saviour, Fount of Blessing from Dvorak’s Stabat Mater was a timely end to the first half of the programme.

A section of the choir relax in Tally Ho prior to the concert.

Hard to tell that St Barrahane’s is in a village, such is the lusciousness surrounding it.
