One of the joys of choral singing is the opportunity to meet, and perform together with, choirs from a variety of backgrounds, traditions and countries. The West Cork Choral Singers have been privileged over the years to host a number of foreign choirs visiting West Cork and also to visit some of those choirs in their home countries.
In November 2007 Ruby Tuesday an all-female ensemble from Eindhoven in Holland spent the weekend in Skibbereen and Baltimore and gave a rousing performance in Abbesystrewry Hall. This was followed by a post-performance gathering in the West Cork hotel with the mandatory sing-song.
In March 2010 the Llantrisant Male Choir spent the weekend of the Ireland–Wales rugby match (Ireland 27 Wales 12) in Schull and entered into the festivities such weekends customarily offer.
